A Nutcracker Christmas At Leeds Castle
Step into a beautifully adorned Leeds Castle this festive season, where the classic tale of The Nutcracker comes to life in a stunning winter wonderland. Marvel at the exquisite decorations, from perfectly festive trees and incredible garlands to towering nutcracker soldiers and shimmering snowflakes, as you wander through elegantly festive rooms that sparkle with holiday cheer.
From 23rd November 2024 to 5th January 2025, navigate through whimsical realms that echo the charm of Clara’s magical journey, and delight in the enchanting set designs that transport you to an exhilarating showdown between the Nutcracker and the cunning Mouse King, the Sugar Plum Fairy, and beyond.

Christmas Lights at Leeds Castle
Created by award-winning international producers of light trails, Christmas Lights at Leeds Castle has everything you need for an unforgettable time with friends and family, including a magical glimpse of Father Christmas along the way. It’s a place where new traditions can be made, a place designed for picture-perfect gatherings. Discover larger-than-life glowing reeds rising high into the night sky, giant colour-changing lilies shimmering on the lake, sparkling tunnels and exquisitely lit trees that fill the air with all the colours of the rainbow.
There will be a glimpse of Father Christmas along the way, and opportunities to toast marshmallows over a roaring fire and have a tipple from the festive bar selling hot chocolate and mulled wine.
The route is entirely on permanent pathways and whilst there are a couple of shallow inclines the majority of the route is flat and accessible by wheelchair. We have accessible toilets at the entrance to the trail and a Changing Places toilet halfway around the route.
Please note: The Christmas Lights is a special ticketed event and not included within day admission group rates.
Groups Catering & Dwell Time Facilities
Our festive hub returns on the Cedar Lawn for groups enjoying The Nutcracker and Christmas Lights. As dusk falls, you will gather overlooking the glorious Castle to enjoy festive snacks, hot drinks and a bar in the fair light festooned stretched tent. What’s more, there will be traditional fairground rides including a full-sized carousel and helta-skelta lighthouse.
At the main entrance, where the light trail begins, our take away café will serve hot drinks and snacks, and the Visitor Centre will remain open for you to enjoy some Christmas shopping with our unique and locally sourced product ranges, where you will be sure to find something for all your loved ones.
Our facilities are designed with your comfort in mind. We offer accessible entrances, restrooms, and seating areas throughout the site to ensure everyone can enjoy the magic of Christmas at Leeds Castle. Our friendly staff will be on hand to assist you with any queries or requirements you may have.
